Tata Curvv EV Launched:

Tata Motors has introduced the eagerly awaited Tata Curvv EV to the Indian market, marking a significant step in the EV segment. This stylish coupe SUV is available in five primary variants, with prices ranging from Rs 17.49 lakh to Rs 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested buyers can start booking their vehicles from 12th August, either online or by visiting their nearest dealership, with deliveries expected to begin shortly thereafter.

Battery Options and Performance

The Curvv EV comes with two battery pack options: a 45 kWh pack offering a claimed range of 502 km and a 55 kWh pack with a claimed range of 585 km. However, under real-world driving conditions, these packs are expected to deliver up to 350 km and 425 km, respectively. The vehicle supports a 1.2C charging rate, allowing it to add 150 km of range in just 15 minutes of charging. Both battery options are paired with a single PMSM electric motor producing 167 hp, enabling the Curvv EV to accelerate from 0-100 kph in 8.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 160 kph (claimed).

Bold Design and Exterior Features:

The Tata Curvv EV stays true to its concept design, showcasing a bold front end with an LED light bar extending across the width of the vehicle, similar to the Tata Nexon. The SUV features a pronounced shoulder line and flared wheel arches, enhancing its strong road presence. Notable side design elements include flush door handles and a sloping roofline that merges into a compact tail section. Additional exterior highlights comprise a rooftop-mounted spoiler, connected LED taillights, a diffuser, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Interior Comfort and Design:

Inside the Curvv EV, the design is inspired by the Nexon.ev, featuring a spacious layout with a large floating touchscreen infotainment system and trapezoidal AC vents with touch-based climate controls. The cabin boasts a faux carbon-fibre finish on the dashboard, red ambient lighting, pillar-mounted tweeters, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Comfort features include ventilated and six-way adjustable front seats, a two-step rear seat recline function, a cooled glove box, and 45W Type-C charging ports.

Advanced Infotainment and Connectivity:

The Curvv EV is equipped with a 12.3-inch floating infotainment touchscreen, a premium 320W 9-speaker JBL sound system, a panoramic sunroof, and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The four-spoke steering wheel features an illuminated Tata logo and paddle shifters for adjusting regenerative braking. Additional tech features include a wireless charging pad, connected car technology, the Arcade.ev app suite, a powered tailgate with gesture control, and push-button start.

Comprehensive Safety Features

Safety is a key focus for the Tata Curvv EV, which includes six airbags, electronic stability program (ESP), all-wheel disc brakes, and acoustic alerts to enhance pedestrian safety. The vehicle also incorporates Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with 20 safety features.

The Tata Curvv EV combines cutting-edge technology, performance, and distinctive design, making it a noteworthy addition to India’s electric vehicle landscape.
